WORLD TOURISM DAY 27-09-2019

‘Life is too short so pick up your bags and off you go – travel, learn and explore.’ This was the message given by the students of Grade 6 on the occasion of World Tourism Day. Tourism means travelling, exploring, meeting new people and capturing all these things in memories and photographs. World Tourism Day is celebrated each year on 27th September to raise awareness about the role of tourism in social, economic and cultural life and the exchange that it brings along with it. On the occasion of this day Grade 6 students explored India through their performances. India is the best place to visit if you want to experience different cultures, traditions at a single place. The same was shown through a video. Later students were explained the difference between a traveller and a tourist. Indians believe in ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ which means Guest is God. Every tourist is a guest. For showcasing our responsibilities towards them, a skit was presented by the students of Grade 6. How one can be a responsible tourist was shown to the students through a video at the ending of the programme.
