Friendship day was celebrated on August 3, 2019 with great zeal and enthusiasm by the students of Grade 6 Sparkling Gems. The program began with the depiction of different aspects of friendship. The programme proceeded with a skit presentation showing the story of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and his friend and the struggles they and their friendship had to go through. The students were guided through a video on choosing the right types of friends. As an epitome of true friendship the relations between India and Russia were presented through a video. Later part of the show consisted of act depicting the types of friends before exam night. The boys expressed their emotions and feelings towards their friends through a beautiful song and the girls glorified the program with the magical dance performance. The program came to an end with a performance of the nominated friends’ pair winning the ‘Best friends of the Year’ title from every class. All students were distributed Friendship Day card made especially by the students of Grade 6. Grade 3 – Yankee students also presented a programme on Friendship Day. The students presented a dance and a skit to show the colours of friendship. Later the Principal, Mr. Anosh Manwar addressed the students and suggested the students to cherish friendship in a long run by learning to understand and respect each other.
