15-12-2018 Annual Celebration What a Grand Day it was !!! A Grand Day, a Grand Celebration. It was the Annual Celebration of Noel School, Akola (CBSE School). The event everyone was waiting for. The school was decorated profusely for the celebration. The programme began at around 5pm. The Welcome Ceremony at Noel is always grand. It was grander than any other year. We began with the traditional ceremony of Prayer and lighting the candles which is considered to be a good omen. The function was graced by Mrs. Surekha Manwar Madam, the Co-Founder of Noel School, Mrs. Arpana Dongre Madam, the Principal of State Board, Mr. Anosh Manwar, the Principal of CBSE Board School and Mr. Anul Manwar, the Headmaster of The Noel English Primary School, Akola. Welcome song added light to the ceremony. The theme chosen for this day was grand as well. ‘Colours of India’ was the theme for Grade 1 to 4 students and the theme for Grade 5 to 10 was ‘Wall of Fame’. Balloons were flown with the images of imminent personalities who had brought laurels to India in the Opening Ceremony. Later felicitation of students took place who brought laurels to the school in the fields of academic, sports and art. It was a moment of pride for students, parents and the school as well. After this began the dance performances of the Primary Section kids. The kids were dressed beautifully enough to portray the colours of India. The Wall of Fame was like the wall that brought fame to the gala night. Several personalities were offered tribute, may it be Shivaji Maharaj, APJ Abdul Kalam, Remo D’souza, A.R. Rahman or Savitribai Phule. The performances by teachers were like a cherry on the cake. At the end it was the culmination of hardwork and irresistible will of the students to impress parents. The parents faces lit with satisfaction on seeing the wonderful show presented by the school. This grand event was something that added a golden feather in the hat of Noel’s history.
