Fire Safety Drill

The Students of Class 5 to 10 of Noel School, Akola (CBSE School) took part in the Fire Safety Drill conducted in the school on Saturday, 1st of September, 2018. The Principal, Mr. Anosh Manwar presented a presentation on Fire Safety. The students of Class 8 explained the various steps in Fire Safety. The students handled the fire extinguishers and saw how to release safety pins. They were also told the safety measures while extinguishing a small fire. The students were told about keeping in mind the nearest accessible exits whenever they are in any large establishment. Later the Students and Staff Members joined the outdoor Fire Safety Drill where the Students and Teachers and student volunteers used the Dry Powder type and CO2 type Fire Extinguishers to douse small fires. The students and teachers also conducted drill for medical and first-aid attention for volunteer injured students. Later the students also operated water hose to extinguish fire. The Sports staff headed by Mr. Sharad Pawar and Mr. Rajendra Choube helped in organizing the outdoor fire drill. The students and staff experienced the scenario and seemed to be confident and ready to face a situation like a small fire in the future. Master Bhavesh Deshmukh, student of Class 9, was the best performer in this fire drill among students.
