World Population Day 11-07-2019
On 11th July, 2019 World Population Day was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm in the Noel School by the students of Grade 9 – Quebec. It was initiated on 11th July, 1987 by the Governing Council of the UN. Its main aim is to create awareness amongst the expanding population so as to solve the big problem infront of the human fraternity. The programme was anchored by Miss Shraddha Wankhade and Miss Janhavi Choudhari. They began with warm wishes and welcoming the Chief Guest of the programme, Mr. Anosh Manwar Sir. Then an informative speech was given by Miss Anshuja Kalaskar on overpopulation. To acknowledge the spectators, a video related to population was shown followed by a skit highlighting the moral of ‘Small family, Sweet family’ narrated by Ms Nandini Navghare. And at last a set up of IIMUN conference was showcased in which delegates of Iraq, China and India set an agenda about population. The live show was hosted by school reporter, Miss Janhavi Belwalkar. Then at the end, the Principal, Mr. Anosh Manwar Sir guided the audience the audience. He spoke about what measures one could take to control the population. He also told about what havoc would take place if population is not controlled before the clock shows 12. He also appreciated the efforts taken by students of 9th Quebec and their Class Teacher, Ms Jayshree Shegokar. The students of Grade 4 – Foxtrot also presented a programme on this occasion. A speech was delivered by the Class Teacher, Ms Kanchan Santani in the starting. It was followed by a skit presentation giving the message ‘Small Family Happy Family’. Later a wonderful dance was presented by the students. The programme ended with a motivational speech of the Principal, Mrs. Arpana Dongre Madam.
