On the auspicious day of ‘Children’s Creativity and Innovation Day’ and in collaboration with Vidyasagar Academy, Akola, Practical Electronics and Robotics Workshop was organised in Noel School, Akola on 15th October, 2019. Students of Grade 7 to 10 attended the workshop. The workshop was held under the guidance of Prof. Dattaraj Vidyasagar, the founder of Vidyasagar Academy, Akola. He is well renowned for his contribution in Electronics, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Cyber Law, WebDev and other fields as he has also published many books and papers on the above topics.
During the workshop, he mainly focused on applications with transistors, industrial applications with electronic circuits, relevance between robotics and electronics, art of soldering and circuit making. He showed many working models of different circuits with his unique ‘Circuit Tiles’ approach. It created a lot of interest among the students and teachers present for the workshop. Many students were congratulated for completing the task of circuit making in this workshop. Prof. Vidyasagar also encouraged the children to learn this new age skills regularly. After the workshop, Prof. Vidyasagar also visited the Robotics Lab of the school and observed the robotics models prepared by the students. He also appreciated the LEGO approach for the Robotics syllabus in the school which instills creativity and paves way for innovative learning and application.
