Kite Flying Activity 14-01-2020
Makar Sankranti, the festival of kites and sesame chikkis was celebrated on 14th of January, 2020 in Noel School, Akola. The students from Grade 5 to 9 were asked to bring kites and ‘phirkis’ and fly the kites on this day. The history and importance of this auspicious festival was told by the students of Grade 8 through a speech. The fascinating dance performance of girls made the environment cheerful and rejoicing. Then it was the time to begin kite flying carnival. The little minds were eager and thrilled to fly their kites. The kite flying activity was inaugurated by the Principal, Mr. Anosh Manwar Sir. It was a breath taking and amazing sight of the colourful kites in the sky and children yelling and shouting with glee. Every child was trying hard to keep their kite flying high. The motive behind organizing the activity was to encourage students to participate in outdoor activities, to come together and share the moments of joy, happiness and traditional values. The students thoroughly enjoyed the activity to the fullest.
